I truly agree with consciousness awakening part of the post.!
People rating poverty as poor from their hearts is the first step towards any revolution to be taking place..

The Millennium Development goals of the UN..works this principle..!
They wants people to think..question themselves and then come forward to their bit in the cause..!
It has being doing enormous efforts on these lines….
This year UN will be shifting its focus on India, with Stand Up and Take action event and getting many hands together to fulfill the 8 goals…
Be updated….with the latest happeningss..

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, the world has many, many issues. I hope by time, these issues decrease because the fact that people are living horribly is terrifying. Great point about people deserving second chances. I never thought of that. At first I thought that it was their own fault that they became addicted and they wasted all their money on drugs and alcohol. But what if that wasn't the situation? It's great that you brought that up . Now I do believe that everyone shouldn't deserve to be in poverty. I hope everyone is aware of all the issues in this world. I will be blogging about more issues later on. :)

And, no, drug-addicts and alcoholics don't deserve to be in poverty. No one does. Although people can mess up their lives, they deserve a second chance. They should be able to change themselves; what's better, a poor alcoholic man who can't find any food, or a man who still has a chance who has gone through rehab and has fixed his life? There is always a second option, but if you get yourself in too deep in a situation, you could lose that option and be left with nothing. Everyone makes mistakes, some a lot worse, but everyone does. Everyone forgives forgiveness.

Wow.
I have always realized that the World had issues, and I was aware, but seeing all the facts right there, in my face, was shocking. Wow. Last night, my mom and I were arguing and she told me to put myself into a less fortunate person's shoes. To be, empathetic, I guess, but I kept telling her that I didn't have to, because that wasn't my life. When she walked out of my room, I realized, "Wait, that's not my life. And thank God it's not.." Although this may sound mean, I don't want to put myself in their situation, because, in a way, I understand what they're going through. At the same time, I know I have no idea. But what's the point of putting myself into that situation if I already want to help? I want to make a difference to help all the people who have no control over their fate. I don't feel the need to put myself in their shoes, because even thinking about living like that makes me really sad. Very sad. But wow. Reading this has made me even more aware than before... now I'll play free poverty more!! hahaha Anyway, amazing post; it was so motivating.
